This week, manufactured ethical crisis and tensions, Maggie and Glenn neglect their duties for make-up sex, pointless walker killings to keep the bored gore hounds mildly amused. Oh, and Rick is back from crazy town to idiotville. You'd think he'd know an absolute psychotic liar when it was sitting 2 feet away, and already had heard eyewitness testimony to that fact.
About 50% of the episode was killing time.

Yeah, not the best episode ever.

I forgot to mention letting Merle walk around loose in the prison next to a table full of weapons and there's 3 people who hate his guts hanging around.

Why did Andrea tell him all of Rick's secrets? Bitch.
This show is what I like to call C+ entertainment. There's just too many bad pacing decisions. Who knew that Rick and Gov in a tense back and forth would be so boring.

So much like some crappy syndicated 90's show that was probably filmed in Canada. I think the only flaw is that they use clips of people talking, which most credit sequences avoid. But then that also adds to the cheap effect of the credits, so maybe not that much of a flaw.

Last nights episode was pretty good.
Glad Rick got his wits back.
Glen finally figured out this might be the last girl in the world that will give him sex.
Andrea deserves the chair she's in.
Merl died well.

At first, I couldn't believe Rick was actually gonn turn Michonne over to the Gov. Couldn't he see it was a trap? When Merle first abducted Michonne, it just looked like he was being a dick. When he let her out of the car and ambushed the gov and his group I think he redeemed himself pretty well. (and in a semi-hilarious way) Wether or not he knew he would die or not, I'm not sure, but I think he knew he would never really be accepted by the majority of the group based on his past deeds, so he chose to go out in a blaze of glory.

Like the Dawn of the Dead Remake the redneck jerk redeems himself while the yuppie is the biggest dick of them all.
Since Merle did so well on his own, with a few more shooters, Rick's crew could've out ambushed the governor, probably killed him.
I take issues with easy head stabbings and the governor's super bite power. Zombies must have soft skulls, even a recent one like Merle.

Yeah, I don't think fingers would come off so clean. In the TV series Sons of Anarchy, a guy bites his own tongue off by slamming his own chin down hard on a table, and he still wrestles with it a bit.
I didn't feel the need to see Merle get his face bashed in by his brother. I would have gone for a scene that showed Daryl ready his crossbow, cut to black, and you would hear the arrow fire & hit, end of episode.
I wonder if Merle will haunt Daryl the way Rick is dealing with his wife. He was having visions of him back at the farm.

Why would Rick suddenly waffle on the 'offer'? Why would he even tell Merle about it? Oh yeah, we need a dip episode before the finale, that's why. Stupid paint-by-numbers plotting.
I hate it when suddenly there's an spike of screen time for a supporting character, its over for the character.

Michael Rooker wasn't happy about being killed off, other than not having to wear that arm thingie.
As much flak as season 2 got, Season 3 has been more contrived in a lot of ways...season 2's palpable tension of Rick vs Shane, Hershell vs. Rick, all seemed more natural. Season 3 gives us lots of convenient happenings and moments where characters don't speak because it would resolve too much (Michonne!) or speak so much they are giving exposition.
Not that it's been bad. It's still better than the comics I read.

Week end to the season. Little was resolved except the fate of two characters, one fairly minor.
Carl vs. Rick debate. When someone with a gun pointed at you says "drop your gun" and you don't...well...

Week end to the season. Little was resolved except the fate of two characters, one fairly minor. Carl vs. Rick debate. When someone with a gun pointed at you says "drop your gun" and you don't...well... I wouldn't call Andrea minor and if anyone deserved to die, its her. I also thought she was a bit in denial. She liked the comfort of the town. I thought Beth/her faither/baby would be in peril because Carl would abondon his post. I'm glad the show didn't go down that path. I think the biggest thing is Rick choosing life, bringing in the weak/young/old that were left behind. Carl is more along the lines of the Gov now. Kill to live. I liked the Gov dropping the act. He can be scary when the show isn't going at a snails pace. Overall, I liked the last episode, I just feel like this show had about 12 episodes worth of story and it got stretched out.
