Got the lower half of vintage Sky Lynx for $3 from some Asian kid at a garage sale. Afterwards I noticed part of one upper leg was broken off, so I went back and broke the boy's leg. Seems only fair. At a resale shop, I found part of 1996 Death Star detention block playset for 27 cents. Also got some free hotwheels and Skeletor's havoc staff (chewed at the bottom  ). |

All for $4 ($2 at two separate locations.) I have a feeling I missed a lot of better figures, but I found those sale late in the day. Oh, well.
GI JOE Comic Magazine (digest format) for 12 1/2 cents (two comics for a quarter...the rest of the comics I got were GROO comics beause my dad likes that series).
My digital camera is busted....no photos...ever again...until I stop being cheap and buy another one. Any recommendations?

A fool and his money are soon partying... ;D I recently had my birthday and managed to accumulate $80 in cash, and a $25 ebay giftcard. I turned the $80 into paypal credits and went shopping. Initially, I was looking to complete several vehicles I had, includidng gettign some repro stickers. That didn't go as planned. I bid on two different lots that had Tomahawk blades. (I need 5). Both of those got out of hand... ??? Regardless, I got Fang bombs, Rattler bombs, and a Warthog machine gun. I only needed one Rattler bomb, but I tricked myself into buying two. My Rattler was only missing one, but i got a rack w/3 bombs from the 25th copper version and put two red bombs in the center of each rack...  that was 3 years ago. I was going to get some Devilfish missiles and some repro stickers but then... (more to follow) |

Anyway, like I was saying (I'm at work and got interrupted) Cold Slither Zaranas are starting to show up loose, which I would prefer anyway. I had my ey on two, but these showed up cheaper than they usually are loose:   $35 BIN, that's cheaper than I've ever seen it go for loose!   $29.99 BIN, usually goes for about $40 loose. So I ended up with those instead of waiting for a Cold Slither Zarana. And now for something completely different..... So these last couple of weeks have been pretty crazy for me. There's this crazy chick I used to work with (spoiler alert, she has since quit) that had some mad crush on me and would grope me and make extreme sexual advances at work (I wasn't interested). I go out drinking one night and run into her at the bar, she runs up to me and starts making out with me right away and she takes me back top her place. Now she claims I raped her. Whatever right? So there's another girl I work with that I actually like who is moving and already has a boyfriend. I decide it would be a great idea to profess how madly in love with her I am. This ends poorly and with me drinking heavily. So heavily, I end up on some random ladies lawn apparently expressing my wish to end my life, where she decides to call the police who determine not to take me to jail, but to the hospital instead where I wake up puking blood....oh and they thought it would be a good idea to keep me on suicide watch for the next 12 hours. The first girl has since quit her job, but not before telling my boss I raped her and he escorts me out the building. I can't even grab my things, he has to go back in and get them for me. She said she wouldn't press charges, but I didn't expect her to go telling the boss this shit either. I haven't been fired yet, but they haven't exactly figured out how to handle this situation appropriately. I'm checking the want ads. A warning to all, this is what happens when you stop playing video games and toys and attempt to have a social life outside of the internet. I've been sober this week (5 days, not that I have anything against not being sober) and no suicide attempts (yay!). Gotta take those little victories where I can get em. Game of Thrones episode was good, not great. I wasn't a big fan of the King of the North, but anyone trying to take down Jeoffrey is a friend of mine. Baroness & Ravage do look cool, but Transformers sucks now, I'd rather they keep it seperate from GIJOE. If they can't make Jetfire transform don't bother. Fuck Star Wars....(although my nephews got to go to Star Wars weekends and had lightsaber fights with cosplay Ahsokas and Ventress, it looked incredible). Sideshows Cobra Commander isn't perfect, but it's 99%. I could really give a shit about any of it anymore. But dammit, I still love those fucking Dreadnoks (except Aero-Viper brotherhood) but all I see is that girls face in the Zarana figure. |

Wow. I read those post and thought aftewards..."I opened my Funskool Zarana". Probably a good buy on that bike, though that purple is weird. The only figure I have from that Dreadnok con set is a Dreadhead, whose name I forget. I like him, actually. It was silly for them to be identical cousins or whatever. Figures from that set used to be somewhat affordable, with quite a few coming from the Hong Kong grey market well after the set was released. Good luck, Felix. That chick sounds mental. Your lawn incident won't win you points if she presses charges. Sometimes I wonder if men and women working together isn't a big mistake. Not just sexual tensions, but also the fact some women pawn shit off on men because they are lazy and take advantage of male chivalry. |

WOW, Felix. sorry to hear about all that. It's the kind of thing you only hear about happening to other people, or in movies. Hope you don't get fired, if she didn't work there at the time, I really don't see how they have any grounds for it.
Sound like a steaming plate of BS to me.

Yeah, a bad movie...a very bad movie lol.
I think the drama is over, it was just a really crazy couple of weeks. It all started when they took me off my nighttime closing duties and started me on baker training. I can't help but miss those peaceful lonely nights mopping the floors. She's totally crazy and probably already screwing up the next poor guy in her life.
I was surprised to end up in the hospital though. I can usually hold my liquor quite well. The legal limit in Oregon is .080, and I was .229 two hours after they took me in....and they found meth in my urine which is also extremely weird since I would never do that and I am sure I would remember if I did. It's not easy convincing the mental health clinic you don't have a meth problem when they find it in your system.

Do you think she could have slipped you a mickey at the bar? Is there anythign that misreads as meth in a drug test?
I got fired once, for taking Tylenol 3. Tylenol 3 is a prescription (which wasn't mine) and contains codein. It shows up as speed in your system.
I hurt my back at work,a dn took the Tylenol that night. The next day I called off work, so they made me take a trest...

My story is kind of confusing, I got drunk with a crazy girl that accused me. I actually had more to drink this night and did not get sick at all.
I also got drunk with a different girl I REALLY like and ended up in the hospital...testing positive for meth. I smoked pot the day before and they didn't even mention that, but the meth thing is a total mystery. They weren't too worried about that, more the volume of alcohol in my system. Still, where the fuck the meth came from is a mystery. I would have asked more questions about it, but since they dropped it from the discussion, I did too. I did have a couple drinks at the bar before I saw the girl and the bartender could have put something in my drink, but why?
Despite everything that's happened the girl I like wants me to go with her, I'm guessing she'd screw over her current boyfriend at the last minute, I just don't want to go. I'm pretty fucking happy where I'm at. Decent job, I own land now and am gonna start building my house this summer. She's dying to leave though, she grew up here her whole life and needs a desperate change of scenery. Nobody gets that more than me. Fucking hell.

I haven't been smoking anything since for just that reason, just in case. Well, that and I just am on an extreme sober kick and focusing on exercise. The person I get weed from is a very reliable source though. Everyone knows each other pretty closely. It's not impossible, but not likely. Meth and coke are pretty hard to find up here. Again, not impossible, but very difficult. Even if you know someone, they aren't gonna bother unless your getting a good amount (I have friends who like to do this, but can never score up here) it's not like people are handing out free samples like the inner city. I wonder if my test was at all sabotaged. I knew a girl that was hospitalized a while back (I forget the reason) and they found meth in her system, but she denied it. I thought she was probably on it though  They could be doing that to force enough people into the clinic to keep their funding, pretty underhanded thing to do. |

I've wanted one of these since they came out. Kinda forgot about it for awhile, then I was window shopping on ebay and found this sealed buy it now, cheaper thant they go for loose. Bagged, now if it was a cool box, I may have left it, but who wants to look at a baggie with crumpled blueprints?  Pieces on the trees:  Off:  The decals appear to be fairly close to the original's release:  Begining assembly:  Taking the rear wheels off because you need to put the exhaust on first...  The only thing I don't like abotu this is that it's the Karate Chopper remold with the stupid launcher and the missile posts relocated. Base of the gun platform still has the 1994 date stamp:  Assembled:  I also picked up a 2004 Convention Zarana, but she hasn't shown up yet. In the meantime, here's 1993 convention Zarana with the bike:  Come to think of it, that missile launcher really blows. Parts comparison. I don't know what happend between 94 and 2004. Did Funskool use this mold? The front forks mold is really degraded and almost looks like a bootleg. From left to right, Original, Karate Chopper (painted) and 2004 Con.   The missile launcher was also used a few times, from left to right, 2004, Karate Chopper (missiles got cut up, don't ask), and the Stargate All-terrain Cruiser, or whatever it was called. Each one came with 4 missiles, not sure where my other 2 to the Street Fighter Karate Chopper went.  |
