The only issue I have with it is Vader doing his video game moves and that's supposed to be a direct pathway to him being this pathetic cyborg battling Obi in A New Hope.

Yeah, Vader seems to lose his touch Obi-Wan must be really using the Force to mess with his head ;-) Bravo is probably right about Disney never releasing the originals...sounds like something Lucas would do

First of my Retro Joe arrivals. The Hiss Tank. I am excited to take a look at this and compare it to my beat up vintage one and my 25th Ann one.

I love the HISS box art. When I was a kid, my uncle build model rockets, the kind you can actually launch. He wanted to use one of my G.I.JOE's, he asked which one was my favorite...at the time it was Blowtorch, he grabbed him and said he was going to put him in one of his rockets! I freaked out, and eventually he was like, "okay fine" but he got to choose a different one. He wanted one with a mask that covered his whole face. HISS Driver was chosen and got launched from the rocket. It went pretty far too! My uncle had told me if something happened he would get me a new one, which is why I didn't let him use Blowtorch! He was a rare find! Seconds after the launch, that rocket was gone! And I was like "Yep, you owe me a figure!" But a few moments later, we saw the parachute he put on and ran after it, it went pretty far too! When we found him, HISS Driver was totally fine. I don't think anyone will ever have a better adventure with HISS Driver than that! Looking back I wish we had just used Blowtorch

Man, I had some weird foreign Eco-Warriors from Brazil...I think Sneak Peak was one...and Maverick from Battle Force 2000? I really can't remember. I think Eco Warriors would demand more bright neon in everything But if you are modern take on that sub-group, then yeah.

Funny, it's too subdued to use with GI JOE, unlike how it often is with civilian vehicles, "Nah, gotta spray paint it olive drab or black or blue."

From last saturday, came across a few sales, some of which were wrapping up. Your Fill for A Dollar...and I saw the Clone Wars Geonosian Speeder Bike and then got some more stuff...Halo guy, bits of LEGO. Nothing too exciting.

I think Crankcase falls into that hole of being one of the Joes with no spoken lines in Sunbow toon. I am exicted to get this out of the package. Never own this vechile, vintage or modern. I wonder if that helmet they gave him is a Capt America helmet. LOL

They can't top vintage Crankcase. Since when does he have a red beard...too many red beards in GI JOE! I like the AWE, but then I haven't taken my 25th one out of its box in probably 10 years!

Never had the original, but I picked up a ton of the all black version in 2000/2001 era. It came with Pathfinder. It's a fun little roadster. My favorite use of it is in Worlds Without End. I think Clutch hotwires one, and the whole team fits on board with one or two sitting on the hood I think Crankcase is one of the guys SAW Viper killed in the comic. They threw a couple vehicle drivers in to get killed from the early 80's like Thunder. I'm sure Hama probably thought, "Nobody will miss these guys."

Yeah, Crankcase was amongst the drivers getting killed. I think the main reason a lot of those dudes got iced, was the fact that they were pretty bland character wise, and they were all available for Mail-In a year or so before the story arc.
