Is the dude with the shotgun Bravestarr? B.A.T.S. have jet boots, didn't you know? Mercer went back to COBRA...I don't think so. "He's an EX-COBRA Viper who has seen the light!" Who is the blonde with the big ass? Why is the Baroness a Joe? No idea who the blonde chick is. Baroness is a G.I.JOE after the movie "Rise of Cobra", just because she helps Duke and they have a love connection.

Who is the blonde with the big ass? Why is the Baroness a Joe? Baroness is a wild card. She shot out Bludd's eye in the Duke mini-series. I'd say she's sort of in that Catwoman realm where she can slip in on either side.

Destro #1
*Starts out with him using his BATS to topple a small country his family has history in. The current ruler is unpopular and shoots himself rather be given over to the people. Destro installs Darklon as the new ruler. * There is a clear problem with the BATS, they shoot anything, so they did turn their fire on some of the random people. Destro hasn't cracked the problem and he and Cobra Commander argue (CC doesn't care about this country or Destro's private endeavors) * Destro really just wants to use the country as a staging ground to sell arms to buyers * He does trek up to this secret locale where his ancestors are buried and seemingly has a 'conversation' with them. Kind of gave me Mumra and the evil spirits vibes. * A big sell does happen, but one group of buyers is missing, Extensive Enterprises * Cuts to Tomax Xamot and Crimson Guard 'consulting' on a military issue, the men they were helping would have won the battle had they not turn and retreated, the Twins talked it over with their client and thought his own troops would have suffered 20% causalities had they held ground. They use their guard to do a a culling of 20% to ensure the remaining will follow orders. * Of course, they haven't forgotten about Destro and send in bombers to his arms sell to take everyone out. Destro gets a hero moment saving one woman's life.
So clearly, Twins want Destro out of the game for whatever reason. Crimson Guard exist before they are all soon roped into Cobra, I'm sure. But a strong first issue. I enjoyed it.

Destro is awesome. When the toy first came out, my instant attraction to him was as the Cylon leader Lucifer in Battlestar Gallactica. That shiny metal head and popped collar... Who does Baltar remind you guys of ;-)

Destro #2
Twins call the attack on Destro's arms deal a false flag op put on by Destro. Destro on the other hand blames the Twins.
The general motive of Tomax/Xamot is get rid of Destro, absorb MARS into their company, so not only do they have the best private army, but will also have the best arms as well. So, it is a very much simple business.
The issue shows this attack by EE/Crimson Guards, that attack by MARS/IGs. Neither side is winning, finally Destro and Twins do meat at a natural site, Twins intend to kill Destro, but he claims he has got ahold of nukes and if he is killed at this moment, all they have will be gone. Is he lying is it a bluff, who knows. But the three men agree to try to kill one another without all the collateral damage. Then Destro later on retreats to his family tomb, thinking he is 'in the wind' and safe, but the assassin a new take on the Chameleon is tracking him and working with an unseen Overkill to take him out.
Interesting issue how all out war is mutual self destruction. Destro was going to honor the agreement of no violence when they met, Twins were not. So, Destro's honor is displayed there.
Fun issue.

I'll leave this amusing Yvonne Craig tale here: For whatever reason, Batgirl was trending on twitter and saw this and it cracked me up

Kind of a sad tale really. This dude wasn't just jerking off to her photos. As he said, "You helped me through a very difficult age in my life..." *Probably means his teen/young adult, probably currently too.* "He watched the show to see them" "Got angry when they weren't on" "The other ladies that played Cat-woman, didn't do it for him" This dudes life sucked, and just looking at pictures of Catwoman got him through the day/years/life. He didn't just imagine banging her, this is some "I AM LEGEND" stuff going on here where Will *smack you in the face* Smith is flirting with the mannequin in the store. This dude created a false fantasy where he is happy with the idea of them in his life. Like dude probably didn't kill himself because he could at least think about and sometimes even see pictures or tv of her. Sounds to me like they gave him a reason to live. And she just blows him off as just another perv. Can't blame her though, I can only imagine how difficult it is to deal with obsessed fans. Part of the contract they make with the devil when they get famous, All it costs is your soul. And if he is an obsessed fan, *which he clearly is* and reads that online...might be enough to push him over the edge

Yeah, most guys has a young childhood/teen crush, but to be obsessed with the same 'images' at a much later stage in life, to seek them out at a con, buy high priced photos, get them signed, lol, make sure they 'understand' some boundaries are being crossed there. Of course, female girls have their own fantasies, Twilight type stuff, boy bands, etc. Its all part of growing up.
But they were at cons making a buck and they knew a large part of their appeal was their bodies and their imprint on pop culture. Its like a playmate bunny being outraged people objectify them.
