Leia always looks out of scale with everyone.
I haven't bought anything. Every new year I go through a "maybe I should quit" mode. That used to be harder, since there used to be after Xmas clearances of decent stuff. Now, it's easy. I bought very little at retail last year. My mixed feelings about Force Awakens and my disappointment with those 5 point articulated figures having me thinking about just not getting any figures from that movie at all(I was waiting to see the film before I bought anything). The super articulated ones at Wal-Mart are $13 each, which is kinda crazy. I never do anything with what I own anyway. I haven't even opened most of the last few Star Wars figures I've bought.

Do her knees bend? How are the thigh joints articulated? Ray looks good. I love her with the mask. She makes a great Mad Max wasteland scavenger/survivor

Well that sort of resolution lasted 23 days Comic book show finds. Each figure was $2.50 or $2. Finally got Pote Snitkin...they'll never remake him. He can't move much with his poncho on. Old Kyle Katarn missing a blaster. The only two figures I had here were the officer and snow scout trooper, and both those I have MIB and would never open. So new enough. More imperials that need helmets. Also, a Remco American Defense/US Forces Karate Master...don't see many Remco guys out there. Also got some 50 cent GI JOE comics, IDW stuff and a rough copy of Marvel 150.

My Gigasaur Gutter, AKA Dinobot Snarl (the stegosaurus) arrived to me today (nice birthday present to myself). This thing is HUGE! I'll try to post some pics tomorrow

Managed to get one pic before the battery died. Still haven't transformed him yet.

I can never keep Sludge, Snarl and Slag straight. Sludge is the brontosaurus, right? That means Slag is the triceratops. I have a few used Slags. And a used Grimlock. My brother was the transformers fan of the two of us. He had Grimlock and Swoop.

You got em right. I only ever had Slag and Swoop as a kid. Never could find Grimlock. I'll never be a die hard Transformer fan. However, there is a select group of characters I absolutely love, one of them is the Dinobots. Decepticon wise, It's all about Soundwave and the cassettes. I also consider Shockwave to be Soundwaves brother (and true leader of the Decepticons).

I found and bought the Gung-Ho and Crimson Shadow Guard two-pack for $10 today. I'm still not much into modern era. I could resell it for $30. But then I'd never find another one and finding myself wanting the figures for no logical reason. I spent $9 on 50 cent comics at a comic show and got home and realized that I wasted at least $3 on GI JOE issues I already had...some multiples of. Guess that's I get for forgetting my list. They raised admission from $3 to $5. So screw going back to that show. I mean there was less vendors than before and there might be 20 vendors at most, and two worth a shit: the 50 cent comics guy and the guy with the 8 for $20 loose action figures (and his selection is dwindling). Now with picture!

Crimson Guards are always a good choice to army build and Gung Ho is cool. I've bought multiples of Joe comics so many times, lol Not G.I. JOE related... I doubt Mattel is going to change the ankles for MOTU figures, so it's probably good I built up my collection when I did. I won't buy the new stuff. Not sure if I mentioned, but I got Quakeblast (Shockwave knock-off), it's the best Shockwave figure you could ever hope to get. Most Masterpiece stuff these days is between $100 and $200, it's crazy. Quakeblast is $80, and he's better than the official release. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

ankles shmankles...actually, I see what people are complaining about. I'm pro-articulation, but those are aesthetic unappealing. The ball joint wrists made sense, but was there much demand for increased ankle movement?

Nope. Everyone loved the way the prototypes looked and then Mattel changed the ankles. I've noticed companies sometimes crappen their products so that they can sell some other high end stuff. Star Wars for instance, could make spectacular perfectly articulated 4" figures. Instead, they're pushing the 6" line...and the Hot Toys larger figures. If the 4" figures are perfect, there's just no reason to collect that other stuff. Why buy that several hundred dollar statue when the $10 toy looks better?
Lucas was known for not letting toy companies and model companies not make exact replicas of the model ships he used in the movies. It's the main reason why the scale is off, and some details would get blown out of proportion.

I like how clueless Hasbro is. They've renamed the 4" Marvel line "Legends" like the 6-inch series, even though for the past few years, Star Wars fans were telling them that having a 3 3/4" line and a 6-inch line with the same name is confusing buyers, especially online buyers.

I tried to take some pics of Quakeblast, they all came out kind of crappy, here was the best of the shoot... Group shot of my Decepticon army And the only decent shot I got of Quakeblast. I still need to get batteries for his LEDs for his laser hand, eye and chest. Still need a decepticon emblem on Appolyon (AKA Megatron).

Once again Starscream fails Megatron by not showing up on picture day.
