The Jedi Starfighter, the one ship I love to hate. The positive, the opening space sequence to Revenge of the Sith is probably my favorite part of the film. The negative...I truely hate how they stuck R2-D2 in the starfighter. There's no way that droid can fit in the socket. In some scenes he's sticking halfway out, in others the dome is lower than the hull on the ship, that means R2 can adjust his position. Okay, but there's just nowhere to go! It pisses me off to no end. All they needed to do was let the Jedi fly Y-wings, and the clones should have had Tie-Fighters (preferably with smaller wings that looked like the original toys!). Not only that, but it would have made the Trench Run in Episode IV that much more meaningful when Vader is shooting down all the beat up old Y-wings. But whatever. I'm sorry to rant on your nice scores I really dig Smoke and Shang Tsung, I think the blue starfighter is Aayla Secura's , which is awesome. I also see you got the cartoon Jedi Starfighter which solved all of those problems I previously mentioned....nice. Who is the guy in red with the lightsaber?

I agree, I dislike the astromech thing on those, too. I get a beat up ROTS Jedi Starfighter every year, at least one, usually Anakin's or Kenobi's. Someday I'll group them all together
I've had that cartoon jedi fighter before but this time all the missiles were there. It's Obi-Wan's fighter, I think.
I've gotten Aayla's fighter before, which is unusual as it was a Target exclusive, I think.
The guy is jedi Koffi Arana from a comic pack I never got, it came with Bultar Swan, the asian woman next to him, she was in Attack of the Clones, but dressed in robes. Actually Arana might have been in a movie, too, barely. I've only seen publicity stills of him.
I surprised to find 3 vintage Kenner figures and even a blaster.

Those are some pretty sweet finds.
I've never had a Mortal Kombat Joe style figure, ever. It's a shame too since I've always wanted ALL of them, but just never hunted them down.

I broke down and picked up Filmation Skeletor off the secondary market. I'm ashamed what I paid for it, but having it in hand, I have to say it's a really nice toy. My only gripes are that they used the new articulated ankles for him, that sucks, and is the only thing that should be improved. That said, it's just a fun toy. You can practically here Skeletor laughing when you look at it, and it nails the cartoon look that I love to see in toys. I didn't pick up Filmation He-Man, and that's because the final product strayed way too far from the prototype for my tastes, but Skeletor is just amazing. I wish Hasbro would makes Joe's at this scale in cartoon style.
Also got Green Granamyr...I love this toy, it's just fun....and I got Camo-Khan, another fun figure. I like how he has pincher claws instead of hands. The regular hands on Kobra Khan make it so he pretty much always needs to be holding something, so when he's not, it just looks weird. Pincher claws make it so he just looks cool all the time, I like that.
In other news, Willy-Kit and Willy-Kat from Thundercats are already goingg for over $100 on ebay since they're SDCC exclusives. I wish they would do away with exclusives, I wouldn't care if they got to get some items early, but this scalping business is just nonsense.

I watched the filmation episode with Granamyr and he's not in that sitting pose they made him, that was a mini comic pose, so it was planned all along to make the green version, even though the face sculpt is more like the cartoon (not as aged).
Sub thing seem really annoying. Seems the safest bet is to sub and sell off what you don't want and hope that you can make money off it.
I don't understand why Mattel doesn't test retail waters more with MOTUC. They made those Vs DC heroes pack which were dumb for two reasons. 1. the DC characters were not made in the same format/buck/whatever. 2. MOTU fans were forced to buy DC characters they probably didn't want (and probably have little aftermarket value). Simple MOTUC 2-packs would been more appealing.
There is a Batman Dark Knight Returns version at retail that uses the MOTU standard body, it's a repaint of one from years ago.

I was able to nab one fuzzy photo of Skeletor before the battery died. If I had known how their system worked, I would have subbed for sure, I just got into the hobby too late. I didn't sub for Thundercats and I already know that was a mistake. Still, I would be pissed I subbed and wouldn't be able to get Wily-Kit and Wily-Kat....without flying to San Diego lol!

Last weekend's stuff. 50 cent Darth Bane and 25 cent Tom (of Tom & Jerry). Darth Bane sells for good money on ebay even missing accessories, but I didn't have him so he's a keeper. Tom gets space-age.

Tom is awesome!!!!! Good luck finding Jerry! I wish I had toys of the classic cartoons. I heard some company is making a lifesize Bugs Bunny, lolz Bane....meh, hehehe. The only Sith lords I find interesting are Darth Maul and Darth Talon. It's the full body red and black tattoos that draw me in. It looks so sinister and evil. I almost felt like Darth Maul wasn't another alien race, but a human that had been so corrupted with evil, he physically became demon like. Overrated Sith..... Darth Malgus is too much of a Vader wannabe (to be fair, I have yet to play the game he's in, but Zarana-X likes him, so he gets points for that) and Darth Revan is Boba Fett that knows the ways of the force. I don't even know who Darth Bane is anymore. I vaguely remember reading about him years ago, probably worth a lot now that Disney axed the expanded universe stuff.

The Jerry they made is huge compared to Tom! Jazwares Hanna Barbera Tom and Jerry ReviewDarth Talon never sells for under $30 loose on ebay. I messed up not getting that comic pack when it was new. IIRC, Darth Bane created the "rule of two" for the Sith. I think his "ghost" (hologram) appeared in Clone Wars, so he's probably still canon. Own two Darth Malgus figures, never opened them. Debated selling him when he was $50. Found another for $5 at Five Below, but never opened him either. Then they reissued him for the 4" black series, but I only saw the reissue once or twice and was feeling too poor to re-buy it. Yeah, and the reissues of scarce figures wound up being scarce again, like that Balista Shan...didn't see her either time.

OMG Jerry is huge!!!! I wouldn't care, hehehehe | Okay, thanks, I remember Bane now He reminds me of the Romulans in the newer Star Trek....that makes him a cool figure to me now. I got Shan off ebay, I paid a pretty penny for her...although to be fair, I did want her mint on card. Malgus, I think I lucked out on BigBadToyStore for a preorder. I remember not really caring if I got him, but I found a good deal so I did. Talon I got off Hasbrotoyshop on sale....under $10. They had a bunch of comic packs on sale many moons ago. She's probably the only Sith figure I like. Darth Maul has yet to look right to me in 1/18 form. They always make his horns too bulky. I don't really like the Emperor as a figure, he's just an old guy, kind of boring. I did get the comic pack version of him where he's reborn into one of his clones...that was a cool figure, came with force lightning. I don't even like the Imperial Guards...they look cool, but can't turn their heads. I also hate the "rule of two". I like to think and Storm Trooper or Tie-Fighter Pilot has the ability to learn the Dark Side as they progress through the ranks. Sure, some would be more powerful than others, but anyone can get trained in light saber combat.

Some of this weekend's junk, most of this was from the same sale. Old box of toys. Some pee wee fire truck from the 70's. Some Marx toy soldier types and a white galaxy laser squad guy. 2 Visionaries and an accessory (for a different figure), the guys are the evil vehicle drivers. A Micronaut (I never see these guys at sales). The two short guys are GAY TOYS drivers (yes, that was the name of the company even in the 1980's!) 3 Other World bad guy bendies and the non poseable purple Mog. A Fisher Price chunky cowboy and safari cage. 2 TMNT turtles. Some Toy Marvel villain. A sparking transformer. A goblin from AD&D's toy line. General Plague from sky commanders. No joes but a charbroil gun and a thunderclap missile. No idea what the gold weapon is. .

I love how the vintage Turtle toys look. Something that seems lost to me on the newer stuff. I totally want some TMNT stuff, just haven't seen anything that has really wowed me. Visionaries are awesome. I never saw an episode (parents thought it was too mystical for their religious views), so I now little about any of it. Always thought they were pretty cool though.

Funny Visionaries story, sort of. I didn't buy any of them in 1987 or whenever. But years later, I found them in 1993 at a odd jewely/department store in Oklahoma. They had the figures MOC. This wasn't resale but old stock, they still had RAMBO stuff and Air Raiders and of course, the 1987 GI JOE Action packs (one of the worst selling things of the entire line, I guess). It was like a time capsule. If only I'd bought stuff and kept it MOC.
So I bought some of the bad guys and opened them. Still never owned any vehicles.
I usually skip TMNT stuff at yard sales, but those dudes were 10 cents each.

Those visionaries dudes look cool. Wish I had got into them. I'd like a TMNT sewer display with the turtles hangin out with Splinter and foot soldiers sneaking in, while on the street April O'Neal is doing a news story getting jumped by Beebop & Rocksteady while Casey Jones jumps in the fight I'd also like a separate display for Shredder, Krang. I know there's probably sewer playsets already, but I want to make my own and have it resemble the cartoon as much as possible. It's one of those things I'll probably never get around to doing .

There's a new sewer playset every year. I saw a newer one at a yard sale, and it was reasonably price...but a big space waster, so I passed.
My only weekend find was a Conquest X-3o shell for a quarter. I mean, shell, as in the two body halves and the cockpit seat/engine piece was all there was and some faded labels. Pretty useless.
