I think the Conquest should go to the custom Slaughter House Headquarters!!!! You know, next to the battle platform thing, I think it's called the LAW or something.

This week on the black market I scored some Masters of the Universe stuff....Filmation Hordak, Anti-He-Man, and Swiftwind. Out of all of them, Hordak is my favorite. Even though he isn't 100% cartoon accurate, he's close....and I love the IMP figure probably more than anything I've got some apoxie clay to sculpt my own bones around his collar, that should be fairly easy to do, and really the only major thing drawing away from his cartoon design. Swiftwind, is super gay!!!! I don't care, I love it. She-Ra needs her flying rainbow unicorn, and so do I lol It's kind of odd MOTU didn't try to use horses more. They're kind of important in fantasy lore. Anti-He-Man, looks evil. I want to keep him in the package because the packaging looks super cool too, so I need another one when it goes on sale again.

Black market. LOL.
I found the Clone Gunship side gunner pod at a garage sale not far from where I got the barrel piece and the clone pilot last month. Hmmm.... And a Soldier Force Missile truck with trailer.
A couple of cheap loose Marvel Legends to resell.
Saw a incomplete GI JOE Hammer from 1990, but the crazy people wanted $5 for. Moving sale everything must go, yet their prices didn't reflect that.

I probably would have picked up the Hammer, but haggled for $4. All sound like good additions to the Slaughter House!!!

I tried haggling today over that gunner pod and Soldier Force rig and got nowhere.

This weekend only find, a beat up old Lego set with part of another set included. I found a FANG missile in there, but didn't realize that until I got home. Box is faded. Goofy kid playing with Legos (yes I said LEGOS) photo. Some contents, missing two trays, but they kept the clear plastic cover...under it all. Odd. Note vintage catalogs, back when Lego was cool and fostered the imagination, now it's blind baggery minifigs and overpriced licensed bullcrap and stay off my lawn, kids! There was big ass trailer built already. I tried finding the parts to the police van, but they aren't all there. (I thinK I had that police van back in the day).

I never had that set as a kid, but I did have a lego cop with a motorcycle, this was the set I had... which was pretty much my most favorite toy before G.I. JOE and He-Man came along. That, and Mattels knock off version of the General Lee from Dukes of Hazard.

That set is pictured in those old catalogs. In fact those catalogs were probably from the peak of my brother's interest in Lego, because I recognize a dozen sets we had between the two of us, mostly town but a few space sets, too, and that old yellow castle I had (No prefab walls like later castles, you had to really build it!).
My brother and I would be into Lego and then out of it for months....it some sort of seasonal/occasional thing, not a regular thing. My one cousin was a Lego nut, though.
Probably gonna sell that set, I'd never do anything with it, 'cept look at the catalogs get sad.
Knock-off General Lee. LOL.

My main use for lego was building Star Wars ships. I made my own Tie-Fighters and Millenium Falcon, because I had none of those. I made them in the scale of Action Fleet size. I liked legos because when I would have my space battles and the ships exploded, I would crash them into something so the pieces would go everywhere. I still have my small tub of legos. Occasionally I need some sort of custom thing, and legos can do the trick :-)

ALIENS 1:18 APC on the way :-)
Not sure I'll get into this line yet. I'm not collecting 1:18 anymore....but this might pull me back in. I'd probably customize my own Aliens figures, but use their vehicles. The Rolling Thunder has always just been my Aliens APC. It was good enough, even though it's not movie accurate. Right now I just don't see these toys fitting in with my current collection, but it looks cool.

It'll cost a small fortune and break really easy. But it looks great.
I remember that apc inspired GI JOE RHINO? And I ordered one, opened it and messed with it then boxed it up not long after. And that was 10+ years ago now...never dug it out again. LOL. I think the helicopter in the middle messed up the apc aspect too much.

Yeah, the Helicopter was cool, just not as the bulk of the APC. Still, that was a cool set. I got the 2.5" version because I was into Sigma6, and a fun fact is it came with Scarlet, the only figure of her in the entire line.
I love The Rolling Thunder. I just decided that it is going to be the main base of the Slaughter House. Mine's missing a ton of parts, yay :-) The Tomohawk is also going to be part of it.

I was once SSSSSSS a man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I picked up King Hsssss Serpentine form :-) Very fun toy. This, and the Snake Men of the Masters of the Universe (Mainly Kobra Khan) are what I envisioned Cobras true form and origins to be like. Actual Snake Men. In the first episode of G.I. JOE Mass Device, Cobra Commander speaks of ruling the universe. I believe Cobra was always meant to be an ancient alien race of Snake Men. And they were pretty much like the Visitors (AKA Lizard Men) on the moviie and TV series "V". Even in the opening sequence of Season 2, The Joe's destroy a Cobra Mothership! Thunderkittens This is something I always really wanted as a kid. Pretty neat to finally have this in hand. I got another set and WilyKit has crappy eye paint. I can fix it so I won't go through the hassle of returning it, but that is piss poor quality control, everything else is spot on. That set was to resell anyway, but I'll fix it before reselling. [/url] Crita I just really like how she looks.

Crita's truly outrageous 80's hair.
I don't share you theory on Cobra, but the mothership part is interesting. I never thought about it, but yeah, they were probably inspired by V for that ship.
